“Sitting with Self”
In Sitting with Self, I wanted to explore the idea of sitting with oneself. The self portrait in full color represents present day while the shadow is a past or future self. Would disorder ensue from getting to know our future selves, or would there be fear in complacency if we chose to not understand our past selves? Or would the opposite occur? Beauty and wonder? Or is there simply beauty and wonder within the complexities of the difficult questions? Nature, in all its wonder, seems to ask itself many questions as well, and as the eclipse draws near, is it too, choosing for a moment to sit with itself?
